Is eighteen too young to drink alcohol?
At 18, you can vote, serve in the military, smoke, and be tried as an adult in the courts. About the only thing you can't do is drink alcohol. If we say "you are now an adult at 18", shouldn't we allow the "adult" to make his/her own decisions, one of them being whether or not to consume an alcoholic beverage?

Yes, I think the "legal" drinking age should be 18. They're drinking then, anyway. I'm not sure about this, but I think the legal drinking age in Iowa changed from 19 to 21 the year after I turned 19...so I slipped in just under the bar. And I've been drinking gin + tonics ever since. ha!
